Rules of Spider Solitaire

Valid Moves

Users can put a card on another card which is one higher in the rank. For example, You can move a 7 of clubs onto an 8 of clubs, or an 8 of hearts, spades or diamonds. Though you can move cards on the other cards in a different suit, the goal of this game is to create runs of cards in the same suit.

If there are multiple cards of a run in the same suit, you can move all cards together. For example, if you’ve got 8 of clubs, 7 of clubs and 6 of clubs, you can click 8 and move them all together onto the 9 of any suit. However, if you have 8 of diamonds, 7 of clubs and 6 of spades, you cannot move them all together except the top card.

Adding Cards

You can click on the stock at the right bottom corner when coming across no more moves to made in the tableaus. Then there will be ten cards moving from the stock to the tableaus, one card on each tableau. You can do this step unless you make sure that you have no other moves. You will be required to have at least one card in each tableau when clicking the stock. You must move one or more cards onto the tableau before you click on the stock if the tableau is empty.

Scoring

Players will start this game with 500 points, and the score will be reduced for each move they’ve made. They can get an extra 100 points for each run you remove. For instance, you will have 500-70+3*100=730 points if you use 70 moves to make three full runs.

Difficulty

There are three modes of this game including easy (one suit with 8 Spade packs), medium (two suits with four packs each of Spades and Hearts), and Hard ( four suits with two each of all four packs). In all the modes of Spider Solitaire, the number of cards is the same: 104.
